The Los Arcos cave is famous amongst divers and pot-holers, whilst the beaches are perfect for water sports or just sun-bathing on the famous Morach beach. The crystal clear waters and spectacular settings are impressive, and the high cliffs protecting the Morach beach provide a wonderful, natural and peaceful setting.
If you prefer more privacy, you can enjoy the secluded Los Tiestos cove. The entrance is a small path on the left, just before the downward path leading to the Morach beach. This very sheltered small cove is renowned for being a nudist and very private. From the small park above the beach and the cove are beautiful views of the Morach beach, the Los Tiestos cove and El Morro Falqui.
One of the most beautiful cliff trails on the coast runs starts a few metres from the entrance to the Morach beach. The area is popular amongst hikers who learn who the local residents once fished by hanging from the cliffs. Cumbre del Sol is conveniently located for hikes to the surrounding areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the the nature reserve park of Granadella.
Granadella is in the municipality of Javea, and borders onto to the area, from where you can access one of the many trails in this beautiful park. In the famous Granadella cove is the Morro del Castell, which are the remains of the Castle of Granadella. This coastal fort, built as a defence against pirates, was constructed at turn of the 18th century on the remains of an earlier watchtower dating from the 15th century. Looking northwards from this point is a large inlet that reaches Descubridor Island. The Torre de Ambolo or Descubridor is another surveillance and defence tower set on the cliffs. Both these defence towers are listed as part of the Cultural Heritage.
Cumbre del Sol is about 15 minutes from the A7 motorway and is about halfway between Alicante airport and Valencia airport, both are about 75 minutes by car.
